This year for the fair I entered the Colormatic Cowl (4th place), Bobber Garland (2nd place) and the Cedar Grove Shawl (3rd place). It was great as always!!!
This year I entered three items into the Iowa State Fair Fabric and Threads competition. The first was a monster swing in Cascade 220SW from the book Knit a Monster Nursery by Rebecca Danger, this one took a third place ribbon. The next was the Cowboy Cowl in a cream Cascade Baby Alpaca Chunky, which received honorable mention and finally the faux fox cowl in Cascade Eco Wool, which did not place. I love the fair and seeing everyone’s knitting. Such an annual treat!! Good job fiber artists!!
And then sometimes you just have to get crafty and attach some crocheted goodness to your bicycle. I used an afghan from the thrift store, serged the raw edges and attached with zip ties. Pretty fancy.
A few weeks ago I was featured in the Style Section of the local newspaper, Juice. Thanks Jess and Eric for the opportunity. Check out the article here.
